The color of the N-3B was changed to sage green from Air Force blue of its predecessor model, the N-3A. The layer of nylon twill was also modified from 3/1 weave to 2/2 weave. In addition, the sleeve with exterior rib-knit was changed to inner rib-knit to shut out outside air. The front wind flap reaches the waist, and the waist adjuster drawstring was moved from the jacket' s exterior to its interior so as not to become an interference.
